As a symphonic violinist with a passion for hospitality, a quest for culinary adventure and possessing a vivid imagination for found objects, I create mixed media collage/assemblages that interpret cultural experiences through 45 years of travel collections.

 

My art honors the historical and sacred past through unexpected deployments of everyday objects, such as African and Asian artifacts, beads, bells, cymbals, instruments, escutcheon, coins, English horse brass, fibers, cans, bottle caps, lids, metal fittings, and antiquities.

With my unique flair for assemblage, these treasurers are reimagined into new stories that bear witness to cultural traditions and beliefs. Through my art, everything old becomes new again.
